Pulmonary rehabilitation is considered an important factor in treating severe lung conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
In this video from Living Healthy Chicago, COPD patient Rose Anderson talks about what it’s like living with a condition that makes breathing a struggle and forces her on oxygen therapy.
Anderson’s doctor advised her to undergo pulmonary rehabilitation, which incorporates exercise with education into how to better manage the disease to improve quality of life. Anderson explains how much she’s learned in her eight-week pulmonary rehab course and now has a better mental attitude toward the disease.
