If you have been newly diagnosed with COPD, emphysema, or chronic bronchitis, you may have a lot of questions. In addition to partnering with your healthcare team, the steps below can help you better understand and manage your diagnosis.
Newly Diagnosed with COPD? We Can Help.
In the moderate to severe stage, there is more inflammation and damage in your lungs, reducing your airflow and causing lower oxygen levels in your blood. This can lead to more breathing-related symptoms and changes in your treatment plan.
Biologic medications are often used for serious or harder to treat conditions, that may not respond to traditional medications or treatments. Biologics are used to treat moderate to severe COPD, severe asthma, and certain types of cancer. Insulin is another example of biologic medication.
